Essay Topic Genres and Stereotype Essay Topics

Essay Topic Genres and Stereotype Essay TopicsYou can't expect to write a brilliant, well-written essay on stereotype essay topics unless you know what they are. But how do you find out what stereotype essay topics are? Many people who have read my book think that I am a bit of a 'prophet' when it comes to finding out the right topics for writing essays on stereotype topics. It's certainly true that I was a public school teacher and I didn't even have much experience with topics related to culture. But I knew enough about it to know what were the good ones.As an example, let's say that we wanted to talk about a subject in which there is some inherent difficulty. In our hypothetical case, it would be difficult to write an essay on this topic unless you know what kind of person will write about it. If you don't, you are on your own. There are plenty of examples where the difficulty of writing an essay on a difficult issue is intrinsic. A good example is how English majors handled their e ssays on American slavery. For instance, most of them would be trying to get inside the heads of the author of a widely read (and by they way popular) book in the eighteenth century. You cannot bring that person into the story and only have him or her think about the problem. On the other hand, if you try to write a short story on racism and you start talking about some of the terrible things white people have done in the past, you won't succeed. The whole point is that you cannot use history as a crutch. If you get a chance to speak to someone who writes well on a particular cultural issue, just ask him or her to write an essay on that topic. For instance, ask a scholar who specializes in African-American literature to write an essay on that. One of the worst possible examples of that is a story writer who keeps writing about the same old story about the King and the peasants. But that is exactly what they are doing. As I said before, the best possible example is to get the actual exp erience of someone who writes well on the subject.Think about it, if you had the 'experience' of someone who writes well on the topic, wouldn't you want to know what they knew? Of course you would, and if you follow my advice, you will be able to find out. So, you should make time to read books that have informative summaries on the topic you are looking at, because that is your only chance to learn from the greats.
